Friedrichsruh had already been evacuated, and this had to be carried out quickly. In the middle of the night, in pouring rain and under air raid alarms, the camp had been evacuated. Toward the evening, orders arrived that all vehicles belonging to the Swedish Red Cross stationed in Lübeck were to depart for Padborg.
