In Denmark

Loading the vehicles onto the ferry went smoothly. Now we’ve left our brightly lit country behind and are heading into a darkened Europe. As we travel through Denmark, people line the roads, waving Swedish and Danish flags, singing and cheering. We arrive in Odense at 10 p.m. Leaving the area is forbidden. Sabotage detonations can be heard. The railway had been blown up earlier. The entire town is in blackout.
