Taking Shelter

Reveille at 08:00. Church service at 10:00, followed by breakfast. During breakfast, an air raid alarm was sounded, and detonations from nearby bombings were clearly heard. The area was repeatedly overflown by Allied aircraft, and shelter had to be taken in the forest.
Complaints were made about the Swedish unit’s negligence regarding air raid precautions, and in particular the German Obersturmbannführer Dr. Rennau was distressed by this, persistently emphasizing the danger of the situation.
In the evening, a company gathering was arranged with singing, quizzes, recitations, and more.
