At 9:30 a.m. on March 9, 1945, the Swedish Red Cross Germany Detachment’s fourth platoon was loaded for transfer to Copenhagen. The platoon arrived in Copenhagen at 12:00 noon and drove from there to Korsør via Roskilde – Ringsted – Sorø – Slagelse. Arrival in Korsør was around 3:45 p.m.
Loading onto the ferry across the Great Belt. Arrival in Nyborg was around 7:00 p.m. From Nyborg to Odense we had our first drive in darkness, which proceeded without incident. Arrival in Odense at 9:30 p.m., where we were quartered in the Munkebjerg School and served coffee and sandwiches.
