Mini-exhibition: Artefacts from Holocaust survivors who came to Sweden
These five artefacts offer us an insight into the stories of survivors who, under various circumstances, arrived in Sweden after the Holocaust and genocide of Roma.
The artefacts exhibited by the Swedish Holocaust Museum were a Mother’s Day card, a small suitcase, two identity cards stamped with the letter J, a striped prison jacket and an icon. Through these, we gain an insight into the fates that befell the Jewish survivors Liselotte Jacks, Tobias Rawet, Lilly and Walter Brünn, Kiwa Zyto and the Roma survivor Hanna Dimitri (née Brezinska).
The artefacts, all of which have been donated or loaned to the Swedish Holocaust Museum, were displayed in a case in the foyer of the Swedish History Museum.
