Onsdagen den 2 april 2025 klockan 16 möter vi professor Tony Kushner, University of Southampton. Hans föredrag, som hålls på engelska, har titeln "The Medical Liberation of Belsen: British Co-Presents." Föredraget ingår i NORAHs Seminarieserie om Antisemitism och Förintelsestudier.

Tony Kushner är professor i historia vid University of Southampton i England. Han arbetar inom det breda fältet judiska/icke-judiska relationer, jämförande migrations- och flyktingstudier, historia, minne och kulturarv, samt rasismens historia. Han har författat över 170 publikationer, såsom Southamptons Migrant Past and Present (2021), Journeys from the Abyss: The Holocaust and forced migration from the 1880s to the present (2017), Anglo-Jewry since 1066: Place, Locality and Memory (2009) Remembering refugees then and now (2006).

Tony Kushner is James Parkes Professor of History at the University of Southampton in England. He is a long-standing member of the History Department and Parkes Institute working in the wide field of Jewish/non-Jewish relations, including comparative migration and refugee studies; history, memory and heritage; and the history of racisms. He is the author of over 170 publications, including several books, such as Southampton's Migrant Past and Present (2021), Journeys from the Abyss: The Holocaust and forced migration from the 1880s to the present (2017), Anglo-Jewry since 1066: Place, Locality and Memory (2009), Remembering refugees: then and now (2006).
